Hello all,

I've been making a website for someone I know and I've noticed that everytime they click a menu item the whole page reloads. I'd like to have only the body section update if possible so the flash header doesn't repeat and the page doesn't always blink when going to next page etc. I know this can be done with php but I am having trouble finding help online. If someone could put a small example or point me to a good site reference i'd appreciate it greatly.
Cheers

Actually I got a couple of questions, ajax uses javascript right? I kinda wanted to avoid that since its estimated 10% of internet viewers block javascript from running. Also can ajax only be ran with asp? I'll look into more of ajax but really was hoping for a simpler solution with php. again any resources or references would be highly appreciated.

You can use Frames

Good post. I will likely use that one in the near future. I'm trying to utilize as many different concepts in my themes as possible.

There's a method of creating a scrollable area within the theme also. It still loads each page completely, but it maintains a peculiar type of functionality and appearance. You can find instructions for it on the Artisteerhelp.com forum post here http://artisteerhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=56.

I have a demo up here at http://webstylee.com/blog/archives/notepadstylee.
