Hey guys,

Greetings from New York!

I was wondering if it is possible to make a template that would look like this: http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5394/cagsitetemplate01.jpg in Artisteer for Joomla 1.5?

Please let me know!
Thank You!

It really all boils down to how much customization you want to do. What you are suggesting simply can't be done "stock" in Artisteer, but by customizing some of the generated files and including some additional (CMS-specific) add-ons, you can come up with some pretty innovative results.

Just remember that if you later make any changes to the Artisteer project, you will have to re-apply any customizations if you export and upload the revised project. If that is the route you go, keep a log of changes. It really makes things easier.

Also try determining just exactly what files Artisteer changes under various conditions and try to manage only the changes. For example, if you change, say, a link's hover color in Artisteer and export the files, do you think that Artisteer has modified, for example, the header.php file? Likely not--it's the CSS file that changed. So there's really no need to re-upload the ENTIRE file set and re-apply all changes. Just upload the new CSS files and you are good to go. Just be careful that you keep backups should you need to "undo" something.

Taking the time to dig deeper will really open your eyes to just what is going on under the hood.

It is true that you can modify an Artisteer template to do a lot of things and drastically change it's appearance. I agree with Jim that learning to do such is well worth the effort.

The question was, can Artisteer create that type of template in the link.
The definitive answer there is, no it can not. This is not belittling what the program does, but rather being realistic about it's functionality without misleading potential users.
