When I ran the install of Artisteer 2.1 preview version, I got a dialog box that said "This will remove Artisteer 2 from you system. Do you want to continue?" I clicked no, but the install continued to the next screen "Choose language" where I cancelled the install. This raises two issues:

1 - The install should stop immediately if you click no.
2- When you install a preview version - you don't want to have to get rid of the older version until you are sure that new version doesn't have bugs that interfere with what you need to do. In other words, it would be helpful if installing the preview version does not remove the previous version unless the user wants it to.

I agree, I went ahead and it replaced my artisteer 2.0, :-@The 2.1 is full of bugs, the templates wave when moved up and down. When uploading a 2.0 template saved as 2.1 and loaded on a live site, all module positions get knocked out of alignement, this is with both IE and Firefox so its a software problem, you have to go in and replace your modules where it is so it fixes but the template waves when moved up and down and makes you nauscious. If a mod is in the left position you have to go in and replace it in the left position so the template realigns itself. same with top Menu (user3) double work big bug for me.:-< I would like to upload my 2.0 back in. :-(

If you rename the Artisteer folder in your Program Files folder on your hard drive, it won't remove the old one during install.

:-D Humm yeah, I had high hopes for this product after playing a bit with the trial. I purchased it and upgraded it. Now it seems the template I designed with the demo is hosed. I still have TRIAL water marks all over and the main menu and much of the text looks right in the application but not on the export. How do I get some support?

:*) Humm yeah okay. I feel about 3" tall. I spazzed out and uninstalled the full product after I though the upgrade broke the theme I built in the DEMO. The reality is it worked exactly like it should...I just needed to clear the cache in my browser. I apologize for my silly spastic post and look forward to building more themes. WHAT A COOL PRODUCT!
