Bill,
Are you able to edit the CSS files without causing an error?
If I apply the style CSS file to the index.php file in Dreamweaver 8 so I can better see the layout and then add a new div tag for example, when I upload the modified index.php and CSS files to the server the template crashes.
Specifically the error I get is: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<', expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or '{' or '$' in //public_html/grouchygaijin.com/templates/GrouchyGaijinBetamaster/index.php on line 15
Line 15 is where the CSS file was linked to index.php. If I remove just line 15 then the error comes back as a problem on line 16. I end up removing the IE 6 if statement and then the template will display properly again.
Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know a good tutorial for adding not only positions to the template, but also defining those positions?
