Quote Myth:

Your asd.info is what is needed for Drupal to recognize the subtheme, or any theme for that matter, from there the line addition to the cssas recommended by GSP will import the entire theme as if you were only using it. Once you make that your set. For your asd.info just add;

name = ASD Sub Theme
description = Subtheme for custom modifications to ASAVI Daily
core = 6.x
base theme = ASAVI Daily

"REPLACE THE NAME WITH YOUR ACTUAL THEME NAME AS IT APPEARS IN YOUR THEME INFO You will NEED it to point at the correct theme."

From there you can build your own .tpl files and make your additions. If you already made them in the original theme though I might suggest you do not need to sub theme. You only need to do this if you decide not to change the original output artisteer has made for your theme.

This btw came from other posts you can find here on the forums. You might want to read all of GSP's Forum posts to understand better. He gives a great deal of great help.

I have also edited my previous post to make it more understandable and clear. You are better to refer to this post
