about sub menu in joomla template |

i've created a joomla template with artisteer 2.0 including submenu levels.
I set this template in my joomla and i didn't understand why my submenu didn't appear.
Since 2 week i was looking for the solution without understanding what it was wrong because i respected the tutorial and the posted advices
on the forum about this problem.
1- my menu was in the module position 3
2- in the module the option :sub menu was displayed in list
3- in the module the option :show sub menu was set to YES
So every was correct for my parameters
Finally i've found the solution.
For my general menu and sub menu, i've just worked on the original mainmenu of the joomla first install.(editingmy links and sub menu links) without creating a new one.
So i made a test in copying this mainmenu and renaming it in testmenu in the same position (user3).
Then i actived this test menu and desactivated the original joomla mainmenu.
I've refresh my screen and how fantastic my submenu item appears now.
I believed that i would never find the solution and become crazy!!!
