Hi,
with wordpress 2.7.1 i have this error:
Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\gpedone.it\httpdocs\new\wp-includes\theme.php on line 266

and it doesn't work.
Artister version is 2.0.2.15338 Edizione Home e Education
With other templates wordpress works well.
I have exported template in wordpress mode.
Wordpress works in IIS6

sorry the only thing I can see, I put my themes in wp-content

If you export the theme as Wordpress, then you have to install the theme in a Wordpress deployment in a special folder designed to allow Wordpress to find it.
So, first question - It looks like you are running this on your own machine, using IIS. Do you have Wordpress installed?
Usually, Wordpress is installed on a hosting service, and you can get it (and read the documentation) from www.wordpress.org
