I've just up loaded my theme to my new blog here:
http://rayburton.org/

I'm wondering if the header image is supposed to look like that with the "square effect" or whether its an effect that I can remove? I got it from the Layout file and selected no effect.

Thanks
Ray

Ray,

Check to see if you have any Glare or Texture applied to the header background image

Thanks, I thought I'd checked that but I had some Glare on.

Now I seem to have a problem with the modified theme not showing. ie new website still has Glare. It could be memory in the system somewhere so I'll put the classic up and try changing it again tomorrow.

Thanks

Ray

Seems I still have a problem with the "Glare" effect at:
http://rayburton.org

I have removed the Glare from the original template and uploaded again after waiting 24 hours, but it appears to still be there.

Are others seeing it (looks like the header was pieced together) in their browser? It is worth noting that when it appears in the WP theme options along side classic and default templates, it appears to have Glare there also. Any one have any ideas?

Thanks

Ray

I would delete the templates, other than the default template, then upload the new theme again.

I second Marc's motion, sometimes even when you FTP files to your site it is easy to have a file not get over written. Set it back to your default theme, nuke the custom one then reload the updated one.

Try to empty the browsers cache could also be a solution

No, I see the effect too, so it's not "his" browser cache.

(Firefox 3 here)

Thanks for all your input on this.

After going round in circles for a while, I decided to nuke everything and start all over again using a different file name. It worked fine.

Thanks again and I hope if your a Christian you'll keep an eye on the blog. I hope to get some content up during the course of the week.
