Is it possible to have a featured post section?

I downloaded the trial version but don't see an option for a featured post - i.e., one that stays permanently just below the header but before your typical postings. See citrustheme.com to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Artisteer doesn't deal with 'functionality' such as adding code, plug ins or anything like that. It creates themes for the CMS you choose and gives you the files needed for that CMS.

Things like featured posts, last 5 articles and such are usually controlled by the blog or CMS package you are using. Wordpress has a huge library of plug ins that you can use to modify the way Wordpress functions. The Artisteer theme makes it all look nice and pretty.

Yes for an overly expensive price.

Or it can look nice and plain for free. Or you could try to build your theme by hand and spend hours doing it. Or you could get a free template and spend a few hours having to modify it so that is unique.

Or, for $50, the cost of an average template on many template sites, you can have a tool that can pop out a highly stylized theme over and over and over and over and over.

Yeah you can do that for a year and then you have to pay for the program all over again with their stupid upgrade fees after you already paid for the program.

David,

You're wrong.

You are not 'forced' to pay for upgrades. You are not 'forced' to pay for additional licenses. You're not forced to pay for anything.

If you *choose* to upgrade, you get free upgrades for a year. After that, you can either use the version you have OR you can get the upgrade, which you pay for.

Since you indicated in another post that you have Photoshop skills, so you know as well as I that you pay for every Photoshop upgrade you get. Photoshop 6 to 7, 7 to CS, CS to CS2, CS2 to CS3 and now CW4.

If you are going to rali against the software, at least do it with the facts.

You are NOT forced to upgrade and upgrade license costs are the norm for the software industry.

I do not work for Artisteer. I am mearly a user who sees the value of this product, both for the pro user (like me) or for the beginner (like many users here).

You nailed it Marc. Why is this product supposed to be so different than tha Adobe stuff that has $$$ signs stacked on top of $$$ signs.

I'm guessing that alot of the complainers think everything is supposed to be Open Source, which means its a crime to make money on software.

Actually, I was surprised that a product like Artisteer with its many features and functions was so CHEAP! I would have gladly paid more for this tool.
