I downloaded the software on three different computers with three different virus software programs running, none had any problem at all.

Johan,
I do not have a virus alert in Artisteer 2 installation either.
Try to update your antivirus software to the latest available version.

I think your AV is picking up the scripting, etc.

Hi Johan,
Just wondering, what AV software you are using?
I don't have any problems with the installation either.
Caroline.

Hello,
There was such an issue a few months ago with AVG, but later it was resolved by AVG. You may want to update your anti-virus definitions.

Well I must report that I was virus free until I installed Artisteer yesterday. I am quite the savvy computer user and have been infection free for nearly 7 years now. I had to reformat my Vista installation shortly after install of the trial and now once again after Artisteer is installed I am having the exact same issues. Might have to do it al over again if my AV cannot heal the infected files. The killer is I just paid for the full blown version this afternoon. Am hoping this is purely coincidental.

I am looking at an output from AVG after scanning the c:\Program Files\Artisteer 2 folder
No Infection was found during this scan
Total object scanned: 2971

Like I said. I hope it's just coincidence. I have a pristine copy of XP going in again and Artisteer will be the first thing I install after AVG. If I get/don't get infected then I'll know.

I will concur. just a very bad coincidence that I became infected. Artisteer was not to blame. No virus here.
