We are happy to announce that Artisteer 2.0 will be released next week! We are making version 2.0 release available here first for your final review.
Please feel free to download the official version 2.0 (specifcially 2.0.2.15312) from the following location:

Here is a recap of version 2.0 features for those who are new to Artisteer and used only version 1.0 previously:
- support for creating Joomla templates. Please note that the supported menu type is 'User3' , which should be selected in Joomla administration.
- Support for creating Drupal themes
- Typography features
- Footer editing features
- Support for uploading custom page background
- Valid HTML+CSS
- Wordpress themes are internationalized and available in French, German, Italian and Spanish, with additional languages available from Wordpress Website. For more information refer to ReadMe.txt in exported themes.
- New Export options for specifying template name, version and author. Also an option for custom watermarks is provided if you are creating temporary templates for review by your customers and want to use our built in protection mechanism.
- Bug fixes

As a reminder, all upgrades are free for 1 year and not related to product versioning. Artisteer 2.0 Beta 2 version can be installed on the same computers as version 1.0 and both can be activated using the same license key.

When I try to open the users guide I get a blank page...

When I try to install V2 it stops at 99% saying Finallyzing and nothing happens, then it says program aint responding.
Just uninstalled V1 that worked perfectly.
Whats happening?

Can you tell me what "compatibility mode" entails? If I open a version 1 file in version 2 and then export a template does it have all the fixes of version 2?

V2 works fine, but the installation process still takes 45 Minutes (on an older PC). V1 took 2 Minutes. Couldn't you somehow extract all the images a bit faster?
German.xml is okay. 
(I've only found some tiny little things that I'll correct within the next few days.)

G`day,
crikey Artisteer ... could you let people know about
any planned price rise ... extra $30 now ... and no
clear directions to upgrade ...  ... I have sent an
email to sales@extensoft anyway
I don`t mind paying extra now, but would have
upgraded before this if I knew the price would go
up ... I don`t like surprises like this ... lol 
The program is excellent, only bug I seem to get
is images not showing occasionally whilst creating
but I just hover over an option and the new preview
brings it all back ... it`s not happening much and
most likely my comp ... not that powerful 
Look forward to v2 with all the bells `n whistles

When I try to change the Position of a Header-image,
nothing happends. It is only possible to drag the Photo
to left and right but not to Top ore Bottom.
Any Solution?

I am new to Artisteer and to Wordpress. I downloaded and installed (twice) the 2.0 version. I have not tried the older one yet, but I get one of those Microsoft Error reporting screens and am told the program needs to close. I am running Windows XP. It happened when I chose either Standard User OR Home User. So I never got to evaluate it.

I converted a template from beta 2 to Artister Artister 2.Before, with filezilla posted directory on the server domain, so good.
Now I have tried from joomla 1.5.9 to install the zip but I have the following error:
Unable to write entry

I have the same problem. And I've reported it to Artisteer support and they answered me that this problem is fixed. I suppose the fix will be available in the next version.

Installation completes with a message "Artisteer has encountered a problem and needs to close". Did reboot, reinstall reboot with the same result.
Had trial ver. 1 installed a couple of weeks ago. Worked OK.
Any advise? Much appreciated in advance.

mabe i found a part of this problem.
Uninstall artisteer. dowload the latest version on download page
and make a windows update from internet explorer
verifie if there is not a microsoft.Net Framework version to install.
i remember for the first version of artisteer i had to install netframework...
now i had to install the version 3.5 sp1 ....
i install it, reboot, install artisteer 2...
the install freeze at the end but install the icon on the desktop...
i close the install...of course theres is a error.
click on the icon artisteer and it's ok...
it's strange, there is bug at the end of install but it's working now.

I found the same "solution" to the issue. But there is still a bug in the installation program.

I already have .net 3.5SP1 and still have the same issue ... but as stated it does put the icon in my task bar and it appears to be working ok .. and I'm on Vista Ultimate .. I don't where I got premium from LOL
