So I have an old blog that I got the theme from WP for. I changed a vey few things about it but one of the things I like is that it uses the typeface "Impact"/. Now I am trying to redesign a WP based Artisteer version of the site with minor changes. But I don't see Impact in the list of fonts to use. Any ideas how to circumnavigate this from the interface or do I have to export out then change the stylesheet in WP?

If you don't have Impact installed on your system, then Artisteer can't find it to use.

I absolutely have impact installed on my computer. I have thousands of fonts on my computer and artisteer doesn't offer those either. I assumed it was because they're not internet supported. But Impact IS, so where is it on Artisteer? Is it something I need to install to Artisteer?

Are you sure you are looking in the right spot? -- Note Impact is listed at the top of the font list and not in alphabetical order.

If you still can't find it try these steps:

1) Make sure you have the latest RC version 2.0 installed
2) Launch and open or start a new design
3) go to the Colors and Fonts" tab
4) Go to the Typography icon at the top
5) in that item, choose "Edit Typography" at the bottom - this opens a dialog box
6) Click on "Text" so it's highlighted
7) click "modify" at lower right - opens a sub window --the standard Windows font picker
8) now choose "Impact" from the list of fonts but it will be toward the top, mine is right after Georgia
9) Click ok

Note the instructions above are fro Windows Vista Home Premium but I imagine it will be similar if you have XP

BTW, if you are still having problems, you could ultimately do a universal search and replace after the fact in your CSS file, but of course that requires some knowledge of those things.

Thanks for the help. But something is wrong. i don't have a "typography" icon at all - just a "font themes" icon. Am I in an older or wrong version here?

Are you using the BETA version? Or Version 1?

Most of us are working with the Beta Version two which has more features. You can download it by clicking on the NEWS link in the left navigation above.

I was using the older version. I updated and am seeing the typography interface now but am not seeing Impact as an option. I'll keep playing though. The new version seems much better.

Have you confirmed that Impact is in fact installed in your system? Can you go to the Windows fonts folder to see if its there.

As a last resort you can just change the stylesheet after the fact.
