basic things missing when importing wordpress |

hi,
I´m trying around with the demo and finished my first template and activated it in wordpress one minute ago. I´m very surprised to find what I see now differs from
what I "programmed" in artisteer:
- no search function anymore
- only 1 navigationfield instead of 4 in my exported version
That means I would have to start coding in wordpress ? why aren´t those basic things adopted?? Or am I doing s.th. wrong here?

When you apply your theme to your Wordpress install, the sidebar and page navigation only shows you what you ahve in there.
That is all content you add within Wordpress, it doesn't 'come with' the theme.
