Hello,

I'm interested in buying Artisteer but a lot of questions come up looking in this forum. I can buy version 1 and everybody is speaking about the new beta version 2. Is it wise to buy it now? As stated when deploying themes created with the beta version youre on your own. Ok with that but version 1 doesn't have the new things that are so handy!

Then i see a lot of example themes generated for Wordpress and they al state at the bottom of the pages:

Powered by WordPress and WordPress Theme created with Artisteer

When i buy the product does that sentence stay or can i change that?
I really don't want my customers to know that it is "created" by another application. It's a tool for me, i want to be the 'creator'....

Hope someone can answer my questions before i buy the product.

Thnx,
Ron

Hello Ron van der Schaaf,

You can buy the license now and use the license key with both Artisteer versions 1.0 and 2.0 Beta.
All the product upgrades are free for 1 year. You can read the upgrade policy in their FAQ section:
http://www.artisteer.com/?p=wiki&post_id=101510&forum_id=9

Regarding the footer, Artisteer generates the back link, but it is not required so you can change or remove it manually after exporting Wordpress theme.

Caroline.

:-) Thank you Caroline,

I've tested the beta version and it looks great for now.
I'm a programmer from origine but now very interested in creating website layouts. Here in the Netherlands companies don't like flashing sites but nicely made and tailormade ones.

Tested a Asp.net export in Visual Studio 2008 and so far so good!
Now Wordpress....

Ron,

Yes, feel free to test different export options. All templates are just great.

I'm sure you are going to love Artisteer as much as we all do :-)

Caroline.

I think it would be great if there was an option in Artisteer to remove the text displayed in the footer.
Now you have change it over and over after changing and exporting the template again.

Geert,

There are instructions in other posts here on how to modify the assembly files so that the footer will generate only what you want it to, rather than the standard Artisteer by-line.

Search the forums, you should be able to find it.
