Beta 2: Text Formatting not working?

Hi, everyone!

I'm evaluating Artisteer ATM (Beta 2) and I think it's a fantastic program!!

However, I tried to create some templates for Joomla and couldn't manage to get the text formatting right. I wanted justified alignment with a line height of 1.5 for article text, but everything I get is the standard left aligned with default line height,- though in the preview everything is fine. Is this a bug??

And another thing: I'm using Joomla 1.5.9 with JCE Editor (based on TinyMCE). Some (professional) Joomla templates manage to show the text in the editor as WYSIWYG. The Artisteer templates only show unformatted plain text there,- is there a way to change that behaviour??

Apart from these issues, Artisteer is the best piece of software I've seen in a while and depending on the next betas/final I'm gonna buy it for sure!

Greetings from germany,

Chris.

Hi Chris,

JCE-Editor needs the path to the proper css-file to show the correct formatings. as artisteer currently doesn't generate joomla-standard folder-structure (style.css should be in folder called "css"), you must tell JCE-Editor the correct path in the configuration.

Hope, this helps

Hi Peter,

thanks for your reply!

I tried that, but unfortunately JCE doesn't take all the settings from the normal article content but instead uses the general background image which makes the text unreadable :-(
I guess it would be better to have a separate css file for the editor?!

BTW: Do you have the same probs with the text formatting? I found out that the styles for the article text go under ".PostContent" in style.css. When I copy them manually directly under the "body"-settings everything seems to be ok. But that's surely not as it should be?
