I'm a beginner and I want to create a Design for a newsletter only for mailing in html. It isn't possible because I'cant export the result only in html?!

Do a google search for email newsletters and you will find a ton of free html templates designed for that purpose.
There are hundreds of them available, free, just download, then fix them up to suite your requirements.
Artisteer 2.0b is a "template creator" for CMS systems and HTML WEBSITE layouts, not html newsletters.

Theoretically you could do this:
1) Make your design using Artisiteer and export as a regular HTML template.
2) Then use that for your HTML email template but you would be well advised to convert all the CSS styles to inline.
3) You would also have to make all image references absolute.
4) Then you could cut and paste the code into Constant Contact or Vertical Response or whatever you are using for mailing.
It may end being more hassle than its worth.

In addition, I would take out any references to JavaScript, so any links would need to be hard coded with just HTML and CSS.

what exactly would be needed to get the newsletter function in artisteer to get working. It all looks nicley coded in the html but what exactly is needed ...? This seemsto be the only part i cannot edit straight in dreamweaver cs4. Also i tried editing in adobe contribute and contribute seems to not like the .js or some such for itwill not let me edit in that, ithought it might be an easier fix for editing so idnlded the trial. is there cms software that is easy to edit these pages or is dreamweaver the best bet ...?
