If you are using the BETA version of Artisteer and creating and exporting templates for JOOMLA or DRUPAL and have any errors or issues, please zip up your template, your original ARTX files and screenshots of the issue you are having and send it to support@artisteer.com

Posting the issue here in the forum will not get the quickest response since this is BETA (not released) software.

If you are deploying ANY themes from Artisteer from the BETA version, do so at YOUR OWN RISK. Especially if you are putting this on a customer website.

BETA SOFTWARE means it is NOT released, NOT finished, NOT for sale yet and should NOT be used for anything other than playing, testing and getting familiar with the new features.

If you decide to put a template out there that is from the BETA, you do so with RISK.

Artisteer gave access to the beta out of courtesy to all the users who were begging and screaming for Joomla and Drupal. Unfortunately many of those users thought it was ok to go ahead and start deploying these themes.

In my experience and opinion, anything that is done with the BETA product should be viewed and handled very very carefully... and certainly not on a customer site!

Wise words Marc!

I think the developers have a ton of feedback to work on and I can't wait to see what they will implement in the final version of Artisteer 2.0

I have personally used an Artisteer Joomla template on only one, very small, simple customer site, but only after testing it out thoroughly beforehand. If any problems do arise, I can swap it out for another template at a moment's notice.

It would be counter-productive to build customer sites using the Artisteer beta version, knowing that when the final/stable version is released they will all need to be updated/revised anyway. Much easier to rely on other methods for the present..

We received many Beta test reports (thanks everyone) and hope to have a new Beta update available within the next few days. Not many visual changes, mainly bug fixes and finalized features like multi-level menus for Joomla. We still have some work to do and will continue the Beta program for at least couple more weeks.

Used Artisteer to develop JOOMLA templates for three live websites. Added some module positions, etc, etc. to the template and some minor tweaking of CSS -- Clients went ape over how fast I could develop the templates they wanted and how "good" they looked with the graphics options of Artisteer.

Version 2.0 Stable will be to me like a new 100-drawer Craftsman Toolbox filled with tools!

Your warning and advice is duly noted . I feel that Artisteer is an excellent way to start a joomla template and I can tweak minor CSS ssues and dropdown menus after I have a beautiful colors scheme. After having trouble getting it installed and realizing it was simply a matter of a space in the folder and template name . I was delighted to purchase the activation code. Yes I will use it to develope "live" tempates even if it has a few bugs. It is MUCH better than working from scratch and I feel more comfortable using it than editing someone else's template.

This is just the tool I have been wishing for. I haven't even tried the drupal yet....just joomla for now.

Thank you for offering this program.

How do you, or does this version let you put in the email/print/pdf from joomla?

Many thanks

Jerry. I asked artisteer support and they told me that this function will be available in the next or in the one of the next artisteer updates. For know I can see this marks only on the few pages with articls.
