We've updated the Artisteer 2.0 Beta to resolve a few issues reported by our community during the preliminary Beta program, such as application crash when removing the headline and slogan, inability to open previous projects, and font size issues with H1/H2 tags.
The update is available as version 2.0.0.13869 from:
http://www.artisteer.com/?p=download_v2beta
If no further major issues are reported we'll be announcing this version as the official Beta shortly.

super - fixed my problems too.
Only thing I've seen so far is that my menu isn't working for "active state" - which should be black - you can see here

Hello!
I've tried the beta version and it works great. I am wondering if there is any possible to, when you create a joomla template, to get the css to use relative font sizes (em) instead of using exact (pt). This is importent if i want to let the visitors change the font-size by themselves.
I know i can change this after the export but it have been great if it works from scratch.

Yeah, I get the same issue with menu in Joomla! For some reason class="mainlevel-nav" is generated instead of the class="active" is generated for the link.
Probably we should contact Artisteer support about the issue.
To Ivar Hofseth:
It looks like there is no relative font sizes feature in the current version of Artisteer. I think, you can add it to the "Feature Ideas & Suggestions" section on this forum.

BTW, for now we can probably change the generated style.css file adding the #active_menu-nav style definition, like:
.artmenu #active_menu-nav
{
background-position: left -60px;
}
.artmenu #active_menu-nav span
{
background-position: right -60px;
}
etc.

Hi Guys,
I have encountered three more small bugs in the Joomla section of the new beta version of Artisteer.
1. Contact Us page has no padding, all the content is placed to the extreme left of the page, also font size is incorrect.
2. The heading shows up inside blocks in the application, but on a live site, it is above the block.
3. Print, Email, PDF icons do not show up even when set to do so from within Joomla backend.

First thoughts are OO yaa looks good i am glad i did buy Artisteer .
Have not test this on a real site yet so i am going to ask?
When i use a no side bar page and add a Categories to the bottom of the page in WP can i then add more widgets to the area???

I suppose that upgrade is free. The FAQ section "What is your upgrade policy?" states that product updates and upgrades are free for 1 year.
But you can always contact technical support for sure.

i have the same problem and i need this fix, and the article menu is not work. i can not change the shap of article.

Missing item.
I can not find any way to change the color of the article background??
I can change the sheet and the side bar backgrounds but nothing changes the new articles background color.
Am i missing it or is it missing?
I loaded in one of my themes and the new beta changes many of the colors and i am trying to recreate them back, only thing left to fix is the article background color.
Can this be done.?

A few strange things,
I can not change some text.
Like in the blocks it is set to normal but it shows as bold i can not make go to normal.
Sometime things just change.
All of a sudden the background sheet will go part way transparent. I then have to go back in and fix it.
Also text will just change on its own like the block text going bold.
I have had the links roll over text all go to bold a few times now and each time i have to go back in and change it back..
Photo border will sometimes just disappear when i make a change to something else.

One strange thing click on comments under a post it shows a comment area with no right side.
Also look at the post heading text i have it set to a much smaller size but that is not working.
Also look at the underline the new post dose not have a underline but i had that set for underline.
I made a few changes to other things and re-uploaded it and now the underline is gone for the post header text it changed on its own like other things have been doing..

Just upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0 and first impressions are Excellent!
I'm more focused on WordPress and the new features definitely help to fix many of the things I've been looking for.
Now, lets get serious for a minute.

Do you mean the options are disabled? If so, then you have probably selected a plain Content Shape without borders. Just select another shape from the list and see the result.

Yes, Joomla templates are generated fine with Artisteer Beta 2 version. Select Ideas > Export > Template > Joomla and then Ideas > Export > Export Design > Joomla Template.

I believe #3 is not implemented yet. But I don't experience #1 and #2 issues on my end. Could you provide a URL to your buggy page?

Transparency settings for Blocks and Articles...
I love the Sheet Transparency but with out having the Blocks and articles having it i can not make a super cool theme with different levels of Transparency.
At least Blocks so i can match them to the sheet

no i mean i see in in artisteer-projekt, but after export an import as a template the content shape is lost

Hi Caroline,
The full site is on my hard drive in WAMPServer 2.0 so I can't give you a link.
I wondered if the problem with the contact page might be some incompatability with SEF404 or QContacts plugins, but it isn't!
I threw up this bare bones demo site just to test the contact page. There are no plugins installed - just the template:

In Global Configuration all the SEO options are turned OFF, and there is no .htaccess file (changing any/all of these options does not fix the problem).
The contact page still breaks the template. It changes the font size and squeezes everything up against the left edge of the page.
The other problem was in an earlier version of the template, and I can not replicate it here.

Another big problem that needs to be fixed.
When using a transparent sheet when you click on any of the Categories links on the side bar it show pages with no Article background this messes up the design look.
I just uploaded this theme to one of my sites so you can see it doing this.

Never mind the top area that is a plug in.
Look at the posts they all have a nice white Article background.
Click on a Article (Post) and it still has the nice white background.
Now click on any of the Categories links and now none of them have the white background making the design to be broken.
They are missing the Article background.
With out the Categories holding the Article background the transparent sheet function is useless then.
Please Fix this.
