Hi,

I have a site that has the menu all set in the header. Works great. However I'd like to add an extra menu item that goes straight to an external page (my paypal shopping cart) for example.

I've done it in the past by adding to my link to the code in the header.php. But 'm not sure what code to change in the artisteer produced header.

I have found the part in the header where it says Menu false etc...

So I know I'm in the right spot but every time I add something it comes up with no css formatting on the page.

I'd like to simply add a link and let it come up on menu bar as a selection the keeping the same formatting as all the other items.

Can anyone tell me the code that I need to use.

Thanks

Max

Hi,

By the way I want to say that one of the cool uses of Artisteer is its ability to output an exact replica of a wordpress site as HTML.

What this means is that if you get a shop program that uses php and wont work on wordpress you can still create a page that is a duplicate of your worpdress site (a html/css version) and insert the code into that page.

You can then direct people to the HTML page when you need to. In the HTML page you can replicate (by hand) the WP menu.

All I need to be able to do now, is create a link in the menu bar of my WP site that will then open my duplicate HTML site.

Are you with me? This is a great feature and is one of the reasons I bought Artisteer.

Now if I could just get that code/workaround for creating that WP external menu link.

Cheers

Max

I found a great plug in that does exactly this. I love it!
You can find it here.
http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/page-links-to/

It is called "page links to"

page links to is definitely a good plugin, but it can be a little buggy, and I suspect not terribly good for SEO purposes if you are linking off site.

I prefer to use the Redirection plugin instead. (good plugin to have for other reasons as well).

With this plugin, you create a page, that shows up in your menu system.

Then with the plugin you create a redirect from that page to your destination link. I use this all the time on sites for lots of reasons, but a common one is adding menu items for links to twitter and facebook pages.
