I would like to import PSD or PNG files into Artisteer.
That's what I need!
I hope to see this function in the next release.
Thanks in advance.

Dan,
That sounds like really great feature, but for my opinion it may be not possible. How could Artisteer guess the parts of image to separate them into Artisteer template blocks? It looks pretty hard.

Importing PSD would be very difficult, plus the licensing would be expensive as well.
PNG is another story, and you can use PNG files in the new version (2.0 which is out on beta right now).
Opening existing templates would also be hard, as the program would then need a full fledged PHP and web hosting engine built in, otherwise it couldn't render the pages properly.
Perhaps it *might* be able to import the CSS from a template and allow you to make changes to that, but that would mean you don't get any of the extras that many template authors include in the PHP code.

How come it is possible to turn a psd into a joomla template for free at
www.psd2cssonline.com then ?

Good news everyone, xampp a full-fledged apache+php+mysql+more has been available all along for linux/windows/mac/solaris. you can find it here: www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html
Now can you stop inventing obstacles and start coding the most wanted feature your users want and get rich ?

I agree importing WP themes (or any theme for that matter) into Artisteer would be a great addon.
I looked at Artisteer about 6 months ago but was put off by the fact I couldn't import themes. Over the weekend I succumbed as my next project I couldn;t find a theme that would be appropriate so I gave Artisteer a trial, liked what I saw and in 6 hours I produced a nice theme and last night my client was thrilled with it so I then purchased Artisteer.
